Every piece comes with a specification sheet: origin, material, exact size, and knot density. A hand-knotted rug's authenticity shows on its back, and during a visit, we'll show you all of this up close.
Yes — every rug in the Farsh Kavoosi gallery is entirely handwoven. There are no machine-made pieces in the gallery. Each one is knotted, on a loom, by a skilled weaver.
On a handwoven rug, the back shows the exact pattern of the front, and the knots are irregular and hand-tied. A machine-made rug has a uniform, grid-like back. The pile also varies slightly on a handwoven rug, while it's perfectly even on a machine-made one.
